Ventifoil is a technology used for wind energy harvesting. Ventifoils of different size and thrust could be fitted on ships. The number and capacity of ventifoils are finalized after scrutinizing the space availability, cargo loss, ship’s stability and payback period. Depending on the geometrical constraints for fitting the ventifoil units and trade route, ventifoils of different thrust range could be fitted on ships. Two types of units are available
